Just watched: Official Secrets 🍿
I had absolutely no idea of this (true) story and was blown away by how they captured and portrayed the events in this film. Excellent cast and fantastic pacing. 8/10

I’ve woken up with a cold this morning and a slight panic about my symptoms. Thankfully it’s mostly a sneeze and a sore throat, so I think I’m in the clear, but I’d best play it safe for a few days.

Proper cursor support in iPadOS and the ability of the Magic Mouse to work on fabric make for one hell of a comfortable sofa-based situation.
It took them long enough but the cats have finally got used to the Roomba. I wouldn’t say they’re happy about it though, they remain distant.
Finished reading: Wool by Hugh Howey 📚
This was absolutely stellar - The writing was so beautifully descriptive, the story so captivating. Can’t wait to move on to the second book in the series. 10/10
The glare on my monitor from working in the conservatory is getting to me today. I need an anti-glare filter for the monitor or the windows, perhaps it’s time for some blinds?
Just installed iPad OS 13.4 beta and finding that connecting a mouse or trackpad removes the onscreen keyboard.
My current working from home setup. Although, with everyone doing it, it’s really more distributed working, and I’m really enjoying it. Being the only one working from home can be isolating, when everyone’s doing it, communication becomes so much easier.
Working from home is raising some interesting questions I’ve not thought about before, like, why is Firefox constantly renaming my webcam everytime I connect to a hangout, and why can’t I rename it myself?
Finished reading: The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu 📚
This was much harder-core sci-fi than I’d imagined when I started. Incredible detail and a wonderful story line, told in a really interesting way. It petered off for me at the end, and I felt ultimately the story didn’t pay off. Nonetheless, a fantastic read. 8/10
I’ve recently begun a bit of a resurgence in the opensource community and this week have successfully migrated from @1Password to @Bitwarden, @dropbox to @nextclouders and @BearNotesApp to @simplenoteapp. It’s been a wonderful experience so far, the communities that have been working on these platforms have come a long way in the last couple of years.
Just heard that as of Friday all schools in the UK will be closing until further notice. I feel for the kids, they’ve not been impacted by this too massively yet. Charleigh’s planning on keeping days as normal as possible, uniform included, as a way to keep the kids on track while they’re learning from home.
Pleased with my performance so far this year.
Got my desk set up for working from home this afternoon and was very quickly turfed out. 🐈
From a Kickstarter I backed a while ago, the alignment of the planets on the day of our wedding.
Another Sunday on the hills. ❤️
This afternoon I started working from home, I’m not sure for how long.
I guess we’ll add this to the collection.
Finally got round to arranging an allergy test for myself and Tyler today. Got to meet with my GP next week. I’ve not been tested since I was roughly Ty’s age, and we’ve always just run on the assumption he inherited my allergies - I hope for his sake that’s not the case.
From our walk up the hills for lunch, this weekend.
Checking in on my yearly goals as we come in to month 3 and I really feel like I’m making great progress. I’ve been running consistently - at least twice a week since the beginning of the new year - and I’ve managed to really break away from social media (micro.blog having a huge hand in that). I’ve even managed to out-pace my goal of one book per month as I’m about 80% of the way through book 6!
Dug my old Henry’s Viper out of my dad’s loft today. Currently trying to build up my old repertoire of tricks.
My girls on International Women’s Day. We went for a walk up the hills.
